During the Apprenticeship, the guidance and encouragement of our seniors made all the difference. They welcomed every question and believed in the engineer I could become.

When I started as an intern, my main motivation was growth. I reminded myself that growth doesn't happen in comfort that's why being uncomfortable became a privilege for me. My goal was clear: Become a full-time SRE. And with that clarity came commitment. I embraced feedback. I asked questions. I learned from failures. I stayed consistent even when the progress felt slow. Step by step, challenge by challenge, I kept moving forward.

To the upcoming interns, embrace the challenges. When things get hard, and they will, shift your perspective. Instead of seeing burnout as a signal to quit, see the struggle as evidence that you're trying. You're learning. You're improving. Growth is not always comfortable. But it is always worth it.
